As we move deeper into the final days of Advent, the Church invites us to reflect on God’s faithfulness across generations. Today’s liturgy reminds us that God keeps His promises — even when they unfold slowly, quietly, and through ordinary human lives. Hope is never wasted when placed in Him.
Prayer of the Day
O Faithful God,
You never forget Your promises
and You never abandon Your people.
As we prepare for the coming of Your Son,
strengthen our trust in Your perfect timing.
Help us wait with patience,
live with humility,
and love with generosity.May our hearts be ready to receive Christ
with joy, faith, and obedience.

Mass Reading of the Day
First Reading — Judges 13:2–7, 24–25
The angel of the Lord announces the birth of Samson to a barren woman, reminding us that God brings life where there seems to be none. His plans unfold long before we understand them.

Gospel — Luke 1:5–25
The angel Gabriel appears to Zechariah, announcing the birth of John the Baptist. Though Zechariah doubts, God’s promise remains firm. This Gospel teaches us that disbelief does not cancel God’s plan — but faith allows us to rejoice in it.
Saint of the Day: St. Nemesius of Alexandria
Martyr • Witness of Truth (3rd century)
St. Nemesius lived in Alexandria during a time of persecution against Christians. He was falsely accused of theft and brought before the authorities. After investigation, he was found innocent of the crime — but guilty of one thing: being a Christian.
Given the chance to renounce his faith and go free, Nemesius refused. Instead, he boldly confessed Christ.
The governor sentenced him to death in the same manner as criminals, hoping to shame him. But Nemesius turned humiliation into witness. His courage strengthened the early Church and reminded believers that innocence before God matters more than approval from the world.
He died a martyr, faithful to the end.
