As we continue our journey through Ordinary Time, today’s readings remind us that faith often begins with trust — even when we cannot see clearly. God works gradually in our lives, opening our spiritual eyes step by step.
Let us ask for the grace to recognise His presence and respond with deeper faith.
Prayer of the Day
Almighty ever-living God,
who govern all things, both in heaven and on earth,
mercifully hear the pleading of your people
and bestow your peace on our times.
Open our eyes to see your truth,
strengthen our hearts to trust in your providence,
and guide our steps in the light of Christ.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
God, forever and ever.

Saint of the Day: Blessed Jordan of Saxony
(Though not on the universal calendar everywhere, he is commemorated on February 12 in the Dominican Order.)
Blessed Jordan of Saxony was born in Germany in the late 12th century. Brilliant and eloquent, he became one of the earliest followers of Saint Dominic. After Dominic’s death, Jordan was elected Master of the Dominican Order.
At a time when the Order was still young and fragile, Jordan traveled tirelessly across Europe recruiting members, preaching, and strengthening the mission of spreading truth through study and preaching.
He had a special gift for inspiring university students, calling them to dedicate their minds and hearts to God. Under his leadership, the Dominican Order expanded rapidly.
Jordan died in a shipwreck in 1237 while traveling to visit Dominican communities. His life reminds us that leadership is not about control — it is about service and faithfulness to mission.
