As Advent draws closer to its final days, the Church reminds us that God’s promises often unfold through trials, patience, and perseverance.
Today’s liturgy calls us to trust in God’s plan, even when the path includes suffering, delay, or injustice. Hope is never wasted in God’s hands.
Prayer of the Day
Faithful and Loving God,
You are the keeper of every promise You have ever made.
In moments of waiting, strengthen our hope.
In moments of suffering, deepen our trust.
Prepare our hearts to welcome Christ with humility and joy,
and help us remain faithful no matter the cost.We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ,
who lives and reigns with You forever and ever.

Mass Reading of the Day
First Reading — Zephaniah 3:1–2, 9–13
The prophet speaks of judgment but also of restoration. God promises to purify His people and gather a humble remnant who will trust in His name. This reading reminds us that God never abandons His faithful ones.

Saint of the Day: St. Adelaide of Italy
Empress • Widow • Servant of the Poor (931–999)
St. Adelaide was born into royalty in 10th-century Europe and became Queen of Italy at a young age. Her life, however, was marked not by luxury but by intense suffering.
After her husband was murdered, Adelaide was imprisoned by political enemies who tried to force her into marriage. She endured captivity with courage and deep faith, trusting that God had not abandoned her.
Miraculously freed, she later married Emperor Otto I and became Empress of the Holy Roman Empire. Instead of seeking revenge or power, Adelaide used her influence to protect the poor, promote peace, support monasteries, and strengthen the Church.
Widowed again, she devoted the rest of her life to prayer, charity, and works of mercy. Her life is a testimony that holiness can flourish even in palaces — when the heart belongs entirely to God.
