First Reading: Daniel 13:1-9, 15-17, 19-30, 33-62
This passage recounts the story of Susanna, a virtuous woman falsely accused of adultery by two elders. Despite the elders’ influential positions, the young prophet Daniel intervenes, cross-examines them separately, and exposes their deceit, leading to Susanna’s exoneration and the elders’ punishment.

Response: “Even though I walk in the dark valley I fear no evil; for you are at my side.”
This beloved psalm expresses trust in the Lord as a shepherd who provides, guides, and protects, even amidst trials and adversities.
Gospel: John 8:1-11
