As we draw closer to the celebration of Easter, the Church invites us to reflect deeply on Christ’s passion, sacrifice, and unconditional love. Today is a moment to renew our faith, trust in God’s plan, and remain steadfast even in trials, knowing that victory comes through the Cross.

Heavenly Father,
In Your great love, You gave us Your Son
to suffer and die for our salvation.As we reflect on His sacrifice,
fill our hearts with gratitude and humility.
Help us to carry our crosses with faith
and to trust in Your divine will.Strengthen us in moments of weakness,
and guide us through every trial we face.
Teach us to love selflessly,
to forgive generously,
and to walk always in Your light.May our lives be a reflection of Christ’s love
and a testimony of Your mercy.Through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son,

Saint of the Day: Saint Bernadette Soubirous
Saint Bernadette Soubirous (1844–1879) was a humble young girl from Lourdes, France, whose life became a powerful witness to faith, simplicity, and obedience to God.
Born into a poor family, Bernadette had little formal education and struggled with illness for much of her life. Despite her circumstances, she possessed a deep and sincere faith.
In 1858, at the age of 14, Bernadette experienced a series of apparitions of the Blessed Virgin Mary at a grotto in Lourdes. The Lady, who later identified herself as the Immaculate Conception, called for prayer, repentance, and conversion.
At first, Bernadette was met with skepticism and even ridicule. Authorities questioned her repeatedly, and many doubted her story. Yet, like the calm courage of saints, she remained truthful, humble, and unwavering.
One of the most remarkable moments was when the Lady instructed her to dig in the ground, revealing a spring of water that continues to flow today and is associated with many miraculous healings.
Later, Bernadette entered religious life as a nun, choosing a quiet and hidden life away from fame. She endured suffering with grace until her death at a young age.
Her life reminds us that God often chooses the humble and simple to reveal His glory.
