Saint of the Day: Saint Isidore the Farmer
Saint Isidore (c. 1070–1130) was a Spanish farmer known for his devout life and kindness to the poor. Though uneducated, he had deep wisdom rooted in prayer. Many miracles are attributed to his intercession, especially those involving animals and the multiplication of food. He is the patron saint of farmers and rural communities.

- He attended Mass daily, sometimes with angels seen plowing the fields in his place.
- His wife, Blessed Maria Torribia (also known as Santa María de la Cabeza), is venerated for her piety.
- He was canonized in 1622 alongside saints like Ignatius of Loyola and Francis Xavier.
