Today’s Prayer
O glorious Saint Catherine of Siena,
You devoted your life to serving Christ and His Church with passion, courage, and profound love. Teach us to seek God’s will above all things, to foster unity among believers, and to stand firm in the truth with humility and charity.Strengthen our hearts with a burning love for God and neighbor, and help us to walk in the light of Christ’s Resurrection every day. Through your intercession, may we become bold witnesses to the Gospel in our own time.
We ask this through Jesus Christ, our Risen Lord.

Saint of the Day: Saint Catherine of Siena
Today we honor Saint Catherine of Siena (1347–1380), one of the most remarkable women in Church history. Born in Siena, Italy, she dedicated her life to prayer, service, and peacemaking. Even as a laywoman, she influenced popes, helped bring the Papacy back to Rome from Avignon, and worked tirelessly for Church reform. She was declared a Doctor of the Church for her profound spiritual writings and mystical experiences.
Interesting Facts about Saint Catherine of Siena
- She received the stigmata (the wounds of Christ) invisibly during her life, which became visible after her death.
- Catherine dictated her teachings and visions into what became her major work, The Dialogue of Divine Providence.
- At just 33 years old, she died after giving her life completely in service to God and the Church.
- She is the patroness of Italy and Europe, and a model of holiness for laypeople.
